Scientology is defending itself against potentially catastrophic court cases in the US and Europe; a wave of revelations from defectors including former senior executives; and a perfect storm of civil, criminal and parliamentary action that threatens to devastate its operations in Australia. Jonny Jacobsen trained as a journalist in the late 1980s with the Birmingham Post and Mail. He spent several years of freelancing in Scotland before moving to Paris in 1994 to attend the Journalists in Europe programme.
